After mass, we went to the Uffizi gallery. It was crowded with tourists, but thankfully we got to skip the line because we'd bought our tickets in advance. Titian's Venus of Urbino and the Botticellis were pretty amazing in person, and there were some surprise Caravaggios in the basement on the way out.
After the Uffizi we collected our stuff from the hostel and got lunch on our way to the train station. We also stopped by a pizza place that some others from our group had gone to to get nutella calzones, which were incredible. It sounds weird, but trust me, they're delicious. Unfortunately, the place that makes them is also currently hosting the cast of "Jersey Shore." They weren't there when we were, thankfully (although the others saw them/had to sign things to get in). I definitely did not want to run into them while I was in Florence, but it's a sign of how good those calzones were that I actually braved the place.

Worth it. |
We made it to the train station plenty early, so I decided, tired feet aside, to go to the Medici Chapel (for real this time). Talia came with me, and after a little searching we found the entrance for an incredible and not-overrun site of beauty and Michelangelo sculptures, probably one of my favorite things in Florence. Back at the train station we met up with everyone and departed, and a few train changes later, we were back in Castelraimondo for dinner.
